Special Educational Needs
My name is Cathy Wynn and I have taught at Chalford Hill Primary School since 2000. I have been the Special Educational Needs co-ordinator since 2007, supporting pupils with additional needs and their carers. Part of this role means that I sometimes work with children in class or out of class in small groups or in 1 to 1 situations. I support children with a range of needs: Cognition and Learning, Communication and interaction difficulties, Behavioural Emotional or Social difficulties and Physical and sensory difficulties. I also spend time supporting and training staff to develop their skills in the classroom. This is very important as the class teachers and teaching assistants are the people who work with the pupils every day. Please read the SEN Information Report to find out more about how the staff at Chalford Hill support pupils with different needs.
